It looks like a lead pipe but in a spot with no water lines no sewer, possibly a well nearby. It’s just an odd find compared to all the other items, except the lead flower I found years ago same spot… any ideas? Explanations?

It’s got the same patina the round balls I find do, it was soft enough to open a bit trying to get it back into round (it broke) and also extra hefty like a hunk of lead, it was also much deeper than most items, I don’t know if there’s much info to get out of it but it feels like it could be a significant clue… the little prievew I accidentally added was a different lead/pewter deal, much less patina

Dc I think again I was a little lazy in my reasoning I read Babbitt bearing and just assumed Babbitt was a style and didn’t really grasp why you were asking if it was lead after invent4hir posted the link I see what you guys are getting at. Maybe the lead flower is unrelated I duno.

Could this potentially be a lead spout to a canteen that has been mashed/broken?
