Was metal detecting around an old farm/homestead foundation here in Oklahoma last weekend and found this lead thing. It looks like its had a iron rod through the middle of it.
Its round and is 2 inches across and 1/2 inch thick. What could this have been used for? Is it some kind of weight for farm machinery?

Thanks for looking and any help!

Probably a homemade repair. The lead would plug the gap & keep water out from what ever the iron was pinned onto.

Thanks CRUSADER! We have found numerous pieces of melted lead even some smashed lead shot at this site, so you're probably right about it being a homemade repair for something.
