Lotta junk found in mixed mode. Dug everything trying to learn the different sounds. Could definitely tell the nickel (1978). The pull tabs faked me out everytime, kinda like Charlie Brown trusting Lucy with the football!! Can't tell what the silver thin coin like object is, one side is marked 25 the other f and m with stars, maybe a token or kid's play money, it was almost smooth.
Totals 2011 1-zincoln, 1-nickel

The mixed mode adds about 25% more depth.

Learning curve! it is neat what you can find when you dig a lot of targets!

All I hunt in is the Relic mode(Mixed Mode) with my MXT.I didnt like it on the XLT.Drove me nuts too at first but stick with it,your ear will tune in and before you know it,you will be speaking the same language. You are not going to ever tell the difference between a pull tab or a nickle....gold coins come in the same range too!

i started using the mix mode last summer. i recommend starting your day out in MM then turn it off once you start going nuts. Then you'll just get used to it. I love MM. good luck..
