Learning the se...todays hunt

Well nothing exciting but I got out...did find a dollar bill... Practiced digging 07/25 on digital(cent signal)...yeah they were all cents... Pinpointing a lot better...no problem with the nickels....hope everyone has a great weekend!

Wow, now I definately need to get an SE, I had no Idea they could pick up paper money !! Seriously nice digs, I wanna see that thing go all "silver vaccum" like ya did last year, Should be an interesting summer, Luck.

The ground is still frozen here in Southern Colorado and, in fact we had snow rain today!

Distinquishing between nickels and pulltabs with the SE is tough and SMARTFIND doesn't really help a lot. I bet you dug a few pull tabs to find those nickels!

Today I really focused on the 10/6 nickel reading and the 7/25 cent reading...using digital with the dfx and se has got me in the right direction...next some discrimination and the smartfind screen. I dug a couple of deep 8-10 inch pieces of metal today(ended up in trash)....there is no doubt this machine clearly hits deep signals...

Yes I was happy to see it..kind of a quiet hunt.. I stayed an extra half hour and found one cent during that time! Working midnights and hunting after work...I was really tired....

Yes...it can pick up paper money... The number was 2...as in eyeballs!

The weight difference is minimal...the quality in the se is better....the depth will speak for itself... If you already use tone id...should not be to big a problem... I think the dfx works faster...but I hunt very slow and always have.... I really like having them both for now.... Two top of the line detectors...should be an interesting spring.
