Who doesn't appreciate a good story or legend? Well there is the story of the oldest and tallest apple tree in the county. Legend has it that school age boys would hide under it's branches in the tall grass, to avoid school and play hooky. They would stuff their pockets with apples and pray they would not get caught. Now it is tall as a spruce tree. Many animals..and humans enjoy it's shade and apples. Yesterday morning two bucks were in the backyard, near this old and wise tree. In the photo, tree is to the right of the deer, sunrise.

Nice story and pic's. Do you think that these deer were playing hooky too?

Enjoyed the video.:icon_thumright:

I would weed wack that area underneath, limb up a bit and start swinging a detector around. Or hang a tree stand for deer season lol.
Cool story

Thanks, haha, perhaps, and being on the lookout for predators. Coyotes.

 Thank you

Great idea! Going to do that in the fall, but not the deer stand thing :)
