Rockdog would you be nice enough to explain to me what that is?I'll start it out with this. Found years ago while backpacking in southern Colorado.
Thank you.It is a clay Sun God symbol. Made by the Anasazi or Pueblo culture. (Cliff Dwellers) around the 11th or 12th century.
There is nothing wrong with those. Very cool. Love that anvil.I'm not cool enough to find any hardstone or really much anything else besides tools and points so I'll post a few favorites of mine. I'll also post 2 pictures of the pottery anvil again that I found a few weeks back just because it's a rare find for me and probably my favorite for this year so far...
That Newnan in the 2nd pic is amazing. A few more pics would be nice.I'm not cool enough to find any hardstone or really much anything else besides tools and points so I'll post a few favorites of mine. I'll also post 2 pictures of the pottery anvil again that I found a few weeks back just because it's a rare find for me and probably my favorite for this year so far...
No doubt a trade era silver earring made by Paul revere and given to Geronimo by George Washington… ok so maybe my timeline isn’t perfect but sounds good enough for eBay right?
That's really nice. You used to find those from time to time at fleamarkets in Tennessee but they are few and far between nowadays. This is a Cherokee basket. No idea how old it is. My mom bought it at a rummage sale around 1974 for
50-cents. She gave it to me when she moved in 1975. View attachment 2163558View attachment 2163559View attachment 2163560View attachment 2163561View attachment 2163562
