I found this watercolor paint set a few years ago. I've never heard of the brand or maker and can't find any information on the web either. There is a date on the inside of the tin that I believe says Pat. Dec. 8th, 1931. I would be interested to know who "Lindsey" is or anything about the company, and about the paint itself. Thanks!

Hi again

There’s nothing much to say about the paints, since that’s not what the patent refers to. The 1931 patent was filed for “a container for water colors or similar paints in which the various colors are contained within individual cups, which are frictionally supported in a holder” by William S. Lindsey of Glenside Pennsylvania. It expired in 1948, so that’s the latest possible date for the set. The Glenn Tint & Chemical Company (registered at 16 Springhollow Road, Radnor, Pennsylvania) was dissolved on 27 December 1966.
