Does anyone have any ideas as to what this might be? It feels like it is made out of lead and is about the size of a quarter. I had also found a Michigan state seal staff button made by Goddard & Bro / Extra at the same site.

Could it be some sort of symbol from the Lion Brewery Co.? Started in Michigan by Stroh in 1850. Just a guess...
