I found this in my yard about 4 inches down. Anyone know what it is or what it's off of? It's about 1.5" x 1/2" and aluminum.

AHA! That's what it is I bet, I couldn't figure out why the odd bends, I thought a tie clasp but your explanation seems better. At first I thought it was a bent ring but the emblem is too flat and it had those right angle bends. Thanks everyone.
