Inventor Trains Crows to Find Money

The Bryant Park Project, March 4, 2008 · Hacker Josh Klein wowed attendees this weekend at TED — the Technology, Entertainment and Design conference — with his "crow vending machine," a device that gives the birds peanuts for depositing a coin. It's all part of Klein's plan to train crows to save human lives.

Or train those crows to feed Alkaseltzer to the sea gulls ;D :o

I can see it already.

You just pull a Nice Silver Bust Quarter out the Ground
hold it up to check the date, & A crow snatches it out your fingers.

Or you & the Crows Running around trying to beat each other to the Goodies.

I Hope it works on New Pennies, as soon as they are Dropped
they will be out of our way.

Is it legal to Shoot Crows
If they follow you around
in Flocks
to steal your coins ?

Will make a new "The Birds" Movie Plot.

I was crossing a parking lot one day and this stupid crow kept dive bombing me....I couldnt figure it out....then after about four times of trying to swat at it, I noticed something shiny on the ground...it was a Kennedy half....Guess its true ...if its shiny a crow will take it back to the nest........there are tons of them around here....they sit in the pines and make a racket all day.....I shoot them with the slingshot.....I often wondered what I would find if I climbed up and looked in their nests.....

Great idea to train the crows...

During the spring and summer there is a Sycamore a few blocks over where hundreds of crows congregate daily...make a big racket for a half hour or so...then they disburse into small groups of several pairs throughout the neighborhood...just walk around making the obvious crow noises...crap on cars...try to dive bomb the floor to ceiling windows under the 6' overhangs...ocassionally finding a clean window and doing a header...and harass the other garden variety birds...hang out on the power lines running down the back lot lines...and making great pellet gun targets...

Not sure where they nest at night...could be a treasure hunt, if anything...
