Every year I finance treasure hunters on various projects. In the past it has always been with cash and a handshake. This has always been on smaller projects for $1,000 to $5,000.
What I am wanting to do is set up a LLC for myself,for investing and require people that need larger amounts to set up their own LLC.
This will give me a way to save on taxes as far as losses go.
What is the easiest way to set up a LLC? Are there any good resources on line for doing this? I see web pages that will set one up for like $300, are these legitimate?
In my LLC I would be the sole owner. The LLC for the treasure hunters would need to be set up for selling shares to others. Most of these people are broke and I would end up paying for it.
Any thoughts?
I really would like to avoid lawyers if possible.
