Howdy Folks. I have been staying in my hometown hunting this week. Landed a new permission next door to where I found an old British Military button last year. I found another one yesterday. I can't remember all the details and am too tired, sorry, to look them up right now. Oxfordshire on the button. Pitt & Company button makers in London England. 1880's I believe. This little place in the middle of no where had some pretty cool history back in the day. I found the large round disk with the face of a man & woman on each side. It has little pins on the edge as if it rotated in some type holder. I found a penny size "coin" but, it has zero detail and looks more like a dug nickel? I found the Marksman BB gun today at my abandoned school. It has to be a recent loss. I will save some Kid shooting his eye out!
I dug the old plastic and brass comb a few days ago. In fine condition with no missing teeth. Kinda' different.
I think I'll be spending more time researching the history of this little place and trying to locate some more potential hot spots. I suppose my yard is a good start as it has given up my oldest US coin, a 1826 Half Cent. There's still plenty of targets needing removed. Thanks for stopping by. Kurios1
