Any input on the age and use of these locks would be appreciated. Found in Tennessee today at a home site that has yielded many flat buttons and no items or trash that appears to be later than the mid 1800's. They did not strike me as being as old as some of the buttons etc. but really have no clue. Due to the small size they would not be appropriate for use on anything that the average padlock would be used for. One member said the thought possibly 1700's but again I have no clue.:dontknow:
