Hello All. Found this a few days ago under a walkway flagstone at a 1900 house.

The front is brass and the back stud part is iron with no engraving. I see others on Tnet have found similar "Hapgrade Pilot" buttons but not much info on them...probably a jeans rivet but it will be nice to know more.

Thanks for the view and Good Luck out there C9

An earlier post says that, " According to the National Button Society publication Pictorial Overall Buttons your button dates from 1900 - 1908."

However, that was for a wobble-shank button. Your rivet dates to circa 1929.

Nice find.
