Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
So I took the 11DD from the Land Ranger Pro and popped it on baby brother Lone Star Pro. Let's see if it opens up the $150 wonder child.

Here are the stock 8in concentric coil results. No disc...no notch....max sens (6 bars)...in inches...

Zinc - 8.5
Copper - 8.5
Clad Dime - 8.5
Nickel - 8.5 - 9
Clad Quarter - 8.5 - 9

Silver Dime - 8.5
Silver Quarter - 9

Now the 11DD coil from the Land Ranger Pro...

Zinc - 9
Copper - 9
Clad Dime - 8.5
Nickel - 10
Clad Quarter - 9.5

Silver Dime - 8.5
Silver Quarter - 9.5

So there we have it. Half inch on pennies and quarters....no change on dimes....nickels gets 1 full inch.

Not a huge increase....but an increase all the same. Once I get a sniper coil and a NEL whatever the LSP will get the 11DD and be a great "back of the car" detector. (Already is anyways)

I have a NEL hunter on a Platinum, pin pointing in a park is tough. Especially when there is other targets near by, I use the wiggle method when PP, rarely use the PP feature. I ordered a NEL Sharpshooter, I'll try it out when i can these few days and report back. So far i can tell you the NEL Hunter is a little too big for parks, unless your parks are not as trashy as mines. It is more suited for open fields where there is less trash, then i can see where it will excel.

BH Platinum with NEL Hunter coil, Sensitivity at 8, the last line you see on the 8x11 paper, is at the 8.5 inch mark... I didnt have a rule with me so i used a debt card to mark lines...

I don't know what you normally hunt, Liu21, but unless you are a relic hunter, the 11" DD is about as big as one usually needs to go for coins and jewelry (unless you are hunting cache's).

Ideally, I would like a 4" concentric, a NEL Sharpshooter, an 8" concentric and 11" DD for coin and jewelry hunting.

The reason why I went with the nel hunter, was because I couldn't find any 11 dd coil on ebay at the time. So I went with the hunter, thinking it was the perfect size for parks/everyday use.however my mind started to change when I was using it at a park lol, I took twice as long to pin point compared with using the 11x8 dd on the at pro. I slapped the sharpshooter on the platinum today and played around with it. Tossed a nickel and quarter on the ground and lifted the coil while swinging. I think I got about 8 inch on the quarter and nickel, with sen at 10. The numbers were bouncy in the dime range of 83/84 tho, but there was a repeatable high tone. I moved the coins closer to test separation and recovery speed. The platinum was pretty good, I was swinging a average speed, the platinum was screaming at me. That there is a nickel and dime range target, Coins were two inches apart. The detector feels balanced with the sharpshooter, i have a feeling it will stay on it till I have a reason to put the hunter on it. I'm in nj, visiting my sister and going to help her with a yard project. If I get a chance I will hit a park just down a few streets. I'll take pictures and report back.

I agree, with the sharpshooter and one larger dd coil either the 11dd or nel hunter. I don't see the need for the 5" or the 8"cc.

The 4" excels in areas where trash is every few inches or so. Less masking. Picnic tables in the park for example.

This sharpshooter on the platinum is a beast! I gave up on over three deep targets... The deepest I dug was a zinc cent at over 9 inches.

My digger is 14 inches from tip to handle butt. The zinc cent was giving a 83-99 signal... Sadly the park is not that old, built in the late 70s, before that it was woods/fields from the way nter historical aerial shown. I tried for rings/jewelry by the basketball court, but was getting lots of coins instead. Near the end of the trip I wished I had a Sampson shovel or something, because my neck/shoulder was starting to hurt...
