Long shot on this one. ID needed.

Found this little piece in and around some earthworks at one of my civ sites. Looks like a pin or piece of a pin. Not sure. I know it's a long shot, but was hoping maybe someone knew what this might be. Thanks for looking.

Its the foot to a small wooden box or maybe mantle clock.

It was found in a trench at a CW site deep in the woods which was a pickett line.
