I know this is a long shot but I was wondering if any of the coin experts could tell me what this coin may have been. My buddy found it at a colonial foundation that dates back to the early 1700's. it's the size of a large cent, the back side is completely smooth but the front shows a little bit of the back side of a right facing bust with the hair tie by the neck. Is it a king George? Or something else?

There is very little detail to go off, but I can't match the back of that bust profile to anything.. hmmm
