I am brand new at metal detecting. I have had my new Ace 250 for a couple days and have a couple hours into the hobby. I live in Springfield, MA, and there is a park next door to where I live.
I would very much like to find someone to hunt with. Someone who can help me come up the learning curve. This part is pretty old I think. I have a couple of hours in, and all I have pulled up so far is some tabs, an old ash tray, and an iron spike.
Let me know if you would like to come out next weekend and do some hunting! This area never sees any detectors, and is pretty big. There are some woods and trails, a pond, a stream, a playground, and some ball fields. This coming weekend we could get some serious detecting in!
Let me know and we can make some arrangements. I could benefit greatly from the help, and you will get a chance to help scan some areas that haven't been searched (to my knowledge) be detectorists! Or, if there is another area nearby you would like to go, I am game! I mainly want to learn! I would also like to start pulling up some stuff besides the trash I have found so far!
