Looking for club in Wichita KS

Is there anyone here in the south central area that would like to meet up? I know there was a club at one point called “wheat state treasure hunters” but I haven’t seen any activity in a while!

There is a Kansas chapter of the GPAA in Wichita, I think they simply call themselves "Kansas Prospectors". They have a Facebook Group by that name. Several detectorists and treasure hunters in the group. They have monthly meetings in Augusta at the Senior Center. Not positive, but I think it is on the 2nd Saturday of each month. They recently held a demonstration of gold panning and metal detecting in Caney KS a few months ago.

Kansas Prospectors (Wichita GPAA) will hold their monthly meeting at the Augusta Senior Center, 1 PM, on Saturday, October 19. Located at Hwy 54/400 and Osage St. (Furthest east stoplight, near overpass)

When is the next meeting? 2nd saturdayJanuary?
I was in sedan ks recently, the city is replacing the water meters in town & there plenty of disturbed ground for hunting. I am a newby & thought this was great opportunity.
