Hi Greg, another place to look is Melody Park off of Demunds road in the Dallas area, tons of picnickers back in the day. The goats would come down and steal your food. Had an old life raft in the lake that was only half inflated. Everyone would climb on it and get rolled over......Joe McDonough
 

Get Jeff from Pa to give you link to historic newspapers and put in your state then the word picnic. I think he posted leads from National Archives
