Hey all. I am trying to find some folks that can go panning/sluicing on Monday's and Tuesday's. I am in a job that has me work every weekened with no exceptions and all my buddies work Mon-Fri and have the weekends off. It sucks going alone and can be quite dangerous at times as well. I have some great places that have produced good color last year and some prospects for this year, but want someone to join me. Any takers? I am in the South Everett area but can travel up to one hour north or south.

Strangeness around Yuma? Never!!!! :laughing7: There are no strangers in Yuma because you can't get any stranger than a Yuman (or is that human? I get them confused)

Well actually I am from Iowa but hang out in Yuma in the winter. I can't go tomorrow as I am in Iowa now. I will be back in yuma at the end of march. I would like to meet up with some of you guys some time:dontknow:

Hey golden bet you have seen some interesting things around Douglas.:icon_thumright:

Well when you get back out west I'll be doing some serious prospecting up in the Kingman area. Been studying the area, doing lots of research and due diligence so I should be able to find some ground worth claiming very quickly. I'll be spending the entire summer out in the field locating good ground and starting to get it developed into a good medium sized operation.

Well where I'm at now looks into both old Mexico and New Mexico. I have the Tucson Military Operating Area over head so I've got a constant stream of Air Force planes to check out including a lot of A-10 Warthogs. I can't make the 20 mile drive into town without passing a half dozen Border Patrol trucks. Plus I have a front row seat to a lot of their games of "Hide and Seek" with the illegals and drug runners. :laughing7: We've even had them land their helicopter in our yard. About a week ago, they were playing "Hide and Seek" on the ridge a 1/4 mile to the south of us from 9:30 pm till 1 am. Dogs were going nuts the entire time.

I won't miss the illegals and border patrol at all once I get moved up north. While there's gold in this area, it's not as good as I'd like. I know I can do much better up in Kingman plus I'll have the advantage of only being an hour away form "Lost Wages"... :occasion14:

I've also been doing research around the Dolan Springs area too. Gold Basin and Lost Basin areas look very good. For now I'm going to concentrate in the area South of I-40 to the La Paz county line and between Hwy 93 and the river. I figure that will make for a nice playground to start with. As I get my research into the other areas done I'll start exploring them as well.

LOL Yeah... Laughlin IS closer but it doesn't have a Harbor Freight!!!! You don't really think I'm going to be giving my gold nuggets over to the dealers at The Gold Nugget do ya? Every thing I make is going to be reinvested into the mine(s) for quite a while. Besides... From all my prep for this, I think it safe to say I don't gamble. Unless they've got a hell of a buffet I'm not interested in casinos.

In time I plan on getting some good lighting so I can do the digging work at night and the processing in the mornings before the heat hits. I plan on sleeping during the hottest part of the day. I did learn something good living this close to Mexico the last couple of years. It's called SIESTA!!!!

My favorite toy store...
No I don't think you would give them your nuggets....

Just letting you know what I did on my time off of work when I worked in Phoenix....would hit the casinos to stay cool and yea find the best buffet.

SIESTA is good! Just got up from one.....

When you get up to the Dolan Springs area, pm me if you want someone to show ya around. I have lived here for the last 1 1/2 years, retired, and am learning to play in the gold fields. I just closed on 40 acres of land in gold basin, a bit off the beaten path. Have only dug and drywashed a few prospect test holes to date as I have been busy on other projects, but have found some pretty good color in one of the washes. No metal detecting yet. I have a small drywasher, a pos (piece so s**t) detector, and a gold magic spiral pan. Also have a 4 seater side by side quad to get around. Will be out of state until the End of March, (moving my parents out here. Remodeling a house I bought for them has been my ongoing project) but have a clean slate after that... Give a shout if ya want someone who knows the area a bit, and want to play in the dirt!
