sadly even though I agree it is High,
there are many out there paying that.

I believe they were running about $300 when you could buy them new easy.

Now they are rare & at a premium

Very true, i've seen them sell for $400 or more on ebay. I"m glad i don't need one.
especially the black short shaft ones.

I'd like one but Knowing what is really in the Box (relay Switch) not much more,
I wouldn't pay more then $100 for the Probe & Upper Arm

yes What would worry me more is buying one that went bad. via Mail.

Or loosing your detector too If you meet up & take the detector along to try it.
Not something you would want to do without friends with
