Don't know witch one of the tesoro line would be (a better machine ) . But this is the type of hunting I'm going to do i do a little of saltwater beach hunting in the summer on the shore not the water I'm not a fish LoL but besides that i do relic hunting also and coin and jewelery. The area that i live around has hot rocks that will drive ya nuts :o . Ive also used the tejon and had a great time with it. Better than my minelab safari. Minelab has one to many tones i don't feel that is to over kill to learn all the tones. but i want the warranty that comes with the tesoro line that is a big plus . I'm a do all type of guy like to do all hunting I'm not to selective in my hunting as of yet. But if yall could help me decide it will help me out a lot :help:.

Thanks digger123

Digger,

If you already used the Tejon and had fun, get it ! I have one, and the dual discrimination and adjustable tone are great options. I use the 5.3 concentric in the dry sand here in NJ and it works great at finding small gold. I cannot use it near the wet sand though, but have many other detectors for the wet sand and water.

For relics and deep coins ( and coins on edge ) the Tejon is a great machine. It is balanced great and its one of the easiest machines to ground balance.

Also, I almost never use mine at full bore. It's really smooth and stable at sensitivity 8 for me.

I don't know about the Tesoro's for the beach, but I have a Minelab Sovereign GT with a 12" coil and it works like a dream at the beach here in NC. It is stable as anything I have ever seen, wet or dry sand. I once considered the Tejon, but opted for the GT instead. It is pricey though, compared to the Tejon, plus the 12" coil will cost extra $. Good luck!
