There might be a metal detecting club there in Granbury. At least there was 5 years ago. Hopefully they're still active.

I live over in Stephenvile. Myself and a few other fellows have really pounded the parks and schools over here. Not much to do but wait around for an old house to be torn down.

I would like to get out and detect more often. Holler if you've got a good location and I'll go with you.

There isn't an active club here that I know of. I know there is one in Ft Worth. Me and my buddy have pounded the Dam and park here as well. We've done some knocking but keep getting turned down.

It's hard to find a place to hunt anymore. You might check out the library for old maps of Hood Co. and locate some old defunct towns. Maybe you can get some luck there. In the meantime, keep on knocking. You'll get a yes sooner or later.
