zoomed in and saw this
DSC00303.webp

on a completely different beach miles away - i came across this
no road access - and a looong walk to get to - guess is mid to late 1800's

oh - did a little research - no record online of a wreck off this beach
but did hear a few things from locals but keeping that close to the vest right now

Casper, to me, these do not appear to be ballast stones. Perhaps cement bags on a barge that broke it's mooring, drifted to sea and sank.

I would guess the outline in photo 3 to be a 1950 to 1970's motor vessel. Good luck! Dell

Dell - youre correct - it is ballast from a barge - a military supply barge - civil war era
but not officially documented in any local records
ship on beach is large - whaling era - 100+ footer

Very interesting, keep us posted!
