Looks like a tool for grinding grain or nuts? Ever seen one of these?

I found this in an area in Southern Tennessee, where we have found several points. Its totally flat on both ends, fits the hand nicely and has a definite thumb hold in just the right place. So what do you think?

Post a pic of each end ( top and bottom) and front and back without the hand...

Right now it looks like a JUSTA...just another rock...

Ok heres the pics you ask for. About the thumb hold, it actually fits the middle finger and there is an indention on the back for the thumb.DSC05248.webpDSC05249.webpDSC05251.webp

Ok I posted the pics you asked for

Thanks

Grim is right, just a rock not an artifact, your imagination is making it fit your hand...

That being said welcome to T-Net. Keep looking and posting. You are in a good area!

Like most everyone said it is natural, but don't let that get you down, we all brought home natural rocks before. Keep looking and you will find something! Welcome to T-net:hello:

you can tell by the fact that the patina is not worn off in areas that would have been used to grind or rub.
