Does appear to be an old knife with a broken blade. The handle end is where the rivets are. The flat end is the broken blade. A size would help but it kinda looks like a butcher knife.

It's small. Maybe a straight razor?

I've been looking at straight razors. Looks like if this a straight razor it would be a wedge grind blade with a fixed handle. Not having a lot of luck finding anything really similar. The blade on this thing seems really light and thin. The pictures and descriptions tell me it would be thicker and heavier.

I tried to clean the rust off the blade, unfortunately the rust was holding that part of the blade together. I wanted to see if there were any markings.
