Looks like year 2804 will be "Hard Times"

Found this (hard times?) 5 cent token with 2804 reverse. Anyone have any ideas?? Is it from the unfortunate future

generic numbered trade token. I'm not sure exactly why they were numbered, unless it helped a merchant keep track of them in some form. My guess is that it dates somewhere between 1900 and 1920
