Looks old, maybe

Had this small copper find today. Looks reasonably complete, and the decoration looks carved, rather than cast. The hole, could be for suspension. Not really sure what it is. Robert.

Pretty old looking. I'm thinking it came from a completely hand made lock. Hope you find the rest of it.

Door/chest/lock/whatever has a key lock plate keyhole cover... Final answer :P
