I just read about the guy who found a bunch of silver coins at a church camp, and the MEMORIES came flooding in.
I was at a church camp, run by New Testament Baptist Church, Miami, Florida. It is located in central Florida, not sure
of the exact location.
Did some metal detecting there back in the 1970's. Found a few nice silver and buff coins outside. Went into a barn-like
enclosure, and found 30 or so buffalo nickles, and some more dimes and silver quarters. Put them all in a change purse.
Went back to Miami, and began looking for the purse.
My youngest daughter had played with the purse, and had LEFT IT SOMEWHERE ON THE CAMPGROUND. Man, was I
uuhhhhhhh excited, I guess is the word that should be used.
Never had the chance to go back. So, don't know if anyone else found the purse, or if someone with a detector found it.
Hopefully someone who has knowledge of what I am talking about will be able to get into the camp and do some detecting.
And, by the way, I never detected 1/100th of the camp. Lots of good, old coins/artifacts there.
Give me a message if anyone has ever found what I am talking about. Hope someone finds it!!

Central Florida is a pretty good sized area. Do you have a city name or other information that would narrow down the location?
