Very interesting info in the article 164 +/- river that starts around Grundy,Va.

Swift always refers to the Sandy river/creek in the journal. I guess the last fork of the Sandy would be considered where the Russel Fk. runs in below Fishtrap Dam on that end.

Me too!! Didn't realize that Sandy went that far. It's 8-10 miles the way the crow flies into Va.. Think the big trail that ran through there is a bit farther S. East wasn't it Was it the Big Wagon road
