Here are two locals I dug up, the one that says Roman De La O proprietor is an oldie from here in Las Cruces. It says Star Grocery on the back and is a 5 center. Jimzz made the ID for me as I did not think it was local. The other is the state emergency school tax token. When I dug the Brown one it was cracked and hanging together by a grain of metal, I honestly think one more day in the dirt would have split it completely. When I fixed the other token from my post a few days I figured I might as well do this one also.It was fate I found it that day :headbang:

Those are really cool I love tokens Ive found two good for 5 cent tokens both exactly the same lol Well done those are really cool to collect.

Jeff, absolutely, these little towns out west were boom towns where anyone with the desire to prosper could get into all arenas if they knew the right people. Thank you for these articles. Especially one with a photo. Awesome
