Low quality day turns out better

For the first 2 hours of detecting the quantity was fine but only finding scraps of bean pot and old stove. Then after taking a short break moved to different side of homestead and found the gun the old bridle bit and the hoe in about 30 minutes. Always happy to be detecting but like to find at least one interesting find every time. Might be info on the gun once I clean it up. Bridle bit looks very old also.

Looks like the action of an old, double or single barrel shotgun. There might be lettering on the side hidden under the rust that would help ID it.

Working on it. 12 gauge single shot. Seeing some lettering but taking time
