Talk about luck...I was asked this afternoon to locate some property pins at an old house that had been torn down. I had already detected this lot once before with digger62918 and my girlfriend, with only one wheat penny stinkin wheat penny. So i wasnt too excited about finding anything of interest. So while searching the far sw corner of the lot listening for iron, i got a good dime signal and decided to dig it up, to my surprise it was an 1899-0 barber dime, ugly but still a barber dime. I couldnt believe it. And what made it better my old man was standing right next to me when i dug it up, and that put me with in 2 of him on our silver contest this year. Well to make the day better i decided to hunt the Saline County Fairgrounds for about an hour. I havnt pulled silver out of there in 2 years. Its brutal, very few signals and usually its clad, but i pulled a 1964 rosie out of there, I know the silvers there but that place has been pounded and silver is getting hard to come by. So i managed two silvers today and wasnt really expecting any. Only one behind the old man, 29 to 30.....
