You should try the bottle forum also. My guess is the stuff never worked. I'm thinking its from the first quarter of the 20th century.

Do a Google search on 'hair "PEAL" MADAME'. I saw a few references ranging from 1896 to 1914. Mostly for 'Peal, Madame & Son' hair ointments.

But I didn't see any bottles like yours.
