Made this scoop for a total of $6
Pole- free (part of a grocery store display rack that was going to go into the garbage)
Stainless container- $3 at goodwill
Ubolts- $3 at hardware store
I think I still have some work to do with the holes to make it drain a little better. But its strong will work great in the sand maybe smaller scoops in the gravel swimming areas that I have many of in the area. I know it might not last as long as one that cost $150 but I can make a new one every year for the next 10 years and still only spend $60 and I have another pole exactly the same to make a back up. Forgot to mention pole has a nice ergonomic s shape already bent into it.
