Magellan 320

My Dad got this GPS used it is a Magellan 320 I can not seem to get it to work I am not sure if it is me or the unit.
The only other GPS I have used is a Garmin eTrax it's pretty simple.

I can not seem to be able to find a way point on the Magellal after I have marked it.
