Is magnetic stainless steel worth keeping / separating? I know that the valuable stainless is non-magnetic, but I find a good bit of magnetic SS. I mix it in with all of my other bulk steel. If it is too bulky, I don't even bother picking it up. I ask because I just passed up a kitchen sink due to the two basins being magnetic. Also, a good bit of 'silverware' and cooking utensils are magnetic SS. I have never tried bringing in a separate load of just this type of steel, and don't know if it is worth the time and effort.

Thanks all,

I would think that your best bet, would be to ask the scrap yard you are dealing with. My guess, is that it woul dbe worth seperating.
