I got an order of Roman coins in the mail. Already started cleaning process. Some of them were already missing pieces of patina as soon as the 'mud' was dissolved...I have heard differing views on how to clean these...basically comes down to the coin itself. What works for one does not work for another. A lot of factors to consider. I hope I don't destroy them, but to be honest, I am not sure they are what you might call 'high grade'.
Found a 1954 D Roosie in the coinstar change return. Was nice to find.
Found the Bahamian 25 cent piece at the laundry mat...was in with my quarters out of the machine.
Last but not least, clad. Isn't that exciting?? Really though, the time in the park was enlightening for me. Somehow I missed that a prairie pollinator zone was put in at the park. There was a lot of open space and I guess someone decided to do a good thing. Also put an orchard in as well. But I have to say that I have this profound interest and appreciation for prairies. My state was mostly prairie at one time. I have seen a few and there is just some sort of majesty about them. They have an aura...a sound and a smell to them. Very serene. I only wish that I had seen it earlier in the year when most of the flowers were in bloom. A lot of life swaying about in a prairie.
