Making a trip south

Heading to Panama city Beach Fl. the first week of April. Have never been there nor detected on the beach. Would like to hook up with someone familiar with the area or just open for ideas and guidance of areas that are OK to detect. Will have plenty of time as I am taking 2 17 y/o boys and they won't want to hang with the "old man" Pm me if you like.

Was over there last week of Feb.. Came back with very little clad and a few bottle caps. Tlked to a local guy on the beach. He told me it really pics up during spring break. Went out to State Park (St Andrews)could only hunt waters edge to High tide mark.

Thanks for that input. I still need ot get a sand scoop. Hopefully I will at least find something or help the city to clean the beach
