Yesterday I posted the objects below on the 'what is it' forum and it was suggested that I post to this forum to get more input as to whether or not the objects are indeed just anomalies. Charlie P. (NY) shared some good info concerning the V-shaped object which seems to indicate that it is most likely fossilized coral. The object is heavy for it's size so I assumed it was some form of rock similar to quartz or granite. Not sure how to determine fossilized coral from other rock types without chipping it. I feel even if it is fossilized coral it could have been used for some other purpose like grinding small amounts of substances.

The second object is most likely fossilized bone. I've found hundreds of pieces of fossilized bone along the beach where this was found but don't remember seeing any other pieces that had circular holes, much less holes that look drilled.

Any input would be appreciated on either or both of the items.
