Was out clearing a section of woods that I frequent quite often with some of my Scout leaders so I can teach my Scouts archaeology. I have sifted the inside of this outbuilding or homestead many times and always come home with some goodies. Even putting pottery shards back together to see what the crockery looked like back then. Well I figured I would take my Scouts up and let them find some treasures so while clearing the section we come across bricks all over and I picked one up and saw it was signed by I assume the person who made it. I think it says "Wilson" but can't make out the first part. Anyone good at reading bricks????

Helps to bring a more personal touch to our hobby I think.

HH to all

I'm going with the word being "Ailson". Neat find. Or "Aeilson".

Cool find, There is a brick museum down in Haverstraw maybe check with them. Good luck.
