Map I ordered helped me find a place but should I hunt it?

I ordered an old map of my town and I found there was an old train depot half a block away from where I work. The tracks are still there but I never have seen a train go by in 5 years, but it does have the RR guards and I see a guy working on the electronics for them every so often. The tracks are out in the open and there are large dirt patches on each side of them where I think the train depot was and its a fairly busy intersection. If I stayed far enough away from the tracks, I doubt the police would bother me and If I did it early morning on a holiday maybe. Should I hunt here?

Yes I've hunted the same kind of areas several times. Unless your just standing on the track or it's posted "NO DETECTING" The cops could give a hoot. But be prepared for a lot of scrap Iron. And slag from cutting torches. HH
