Map Question

Can anyone help me identify these map symbols. I have searched various map websites and came up empty. I am trying to figure out why the buildings have the X through them.

Tough to answer without knowing what kind of map you are on.

City, county, MGRS, TOPO, historical, engineering, maritime.... the list is endless.

Loco. You are right. I finally found a reference to the X in the building symbol.
