My weekly pickup was relatively small this week compared to normal because my grandparents are bringing me coins from Illinois next week. Anyway, what I did get wasn’t good: $100 in nickels had a 1948-S and a 1970-S proof, $250 in dimes had a 1956-D rosie, and $500 in halves was a skunk. I am paying my grandparents in two dollar bills, unbeknownst to them, so I will have the privilege of seeing their surprise. I also found a yellow, semi-transparent plastic disk in the dimes, which matches the red one I found a couple weeks ago. Both of the disks were free extras in the rolls.
