This is a cool place to see if you like boats and are in San Diego. The model boats displayed here are assembled with unbelievable detail and you can watch one of the modelers working at his bench. What a job that be to have?. I only put models together for fun and none I did would hold a candle to the workmanship put in to these. Lots of cool stuff to see here.

I bet that old guy's kids hate the smell of balsa wood and glue:laughing7: Nice pics. You had a great vacation. Did your wife enjoy it as much as you?
 
That black and red ship is the Star of India. It was in San Diego when I was in the Navy from 64 to 67. Beautiful ship!
 
It was the most impressive to me. It was cutting edge in sailing technology when Lincoln was president and I think the tour guide on it said it last sailed in 2013 ? and could still go out in the open sea today.
