Found this in my grandmas house when we cleaned it out. Is this made of silver? The color looks to dull to me. Any help is appreciated

can you post a pic of the top lid opened please?

not silver...pewter
probably a salt shaker or pepper...was there an insert under the lid? is the lid perforated?

As PwP said - Pewter. It looks like a miniature beer stein. Was grandma a traveller? Drinker?

Anyway, nice keepsake from grandma's house, IMO.

or one of those metals that mimic pewter that they started making things out if in the 70's i believe...
