Hit the tide this morning and got a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses and what I think is a silver birds nest ring with a mother of pearl

I know that sound when your Excalibur coil passes over a pair of sunglasses. I've learned to line up the
scoop with the target and then gently push the surface target into the scoop with my foot. That way you minimize damage by not digging into the glasses.
