Got off work at 7 this evening and got in about 45 mins. swinging time before dark.

Found a couple wheats and two pieces of jewelry. Both look good but, neither one is marked. They were found in an early 1900's yard that we've hit before. The one on right rang up 12-24 on the CTX not sure about the one on left, believe it was close to the 12-24 also?
Found the purplish looking stone in same hole but, seperate from piece.
Need to test them...

Hard to get decent pictures showing trur color of pieces, do look gold in color.

Nice finds! Congrats! Do you have a gold test kit? You could scratch it in an inconspicuous place and see if the gold color is the same.

Yeah I got a gold test kit, afraid to test them. Lol

Just tested both pieces with the gold test kit. If I'm doing it right both pieces tested good for 10K gold!!
Got two test lines by rubbing the piece on the stone. The line with the 14K acid dissolved the line almost immediately. It took 20 mins. or so for the 10K acid to dissolve that line.
Hope I did it right and the two pieces are not just a good gold plating? They don't look to be plated.

Congrats on a those gold pieces and you only needed 45 minutes. :occasion14:

It's gold if you believe in it! Gold exists I tell you! All you need... is to believe... :laughing7:

I hear ya one that one! Sometimes I just want to go on "hoping" it is.
Well congrats on your gold awesome finds! Now do the happy dance!
