I had about 40 minutes to kill between the end of work and the time I had to head home for dinner. As luck would have it, I was only a few minutes away from the famous (infamous?) town of Centralia, PA so I decided to head over to the old school grounds for a few minutes. This whole town is basically overgrown and the grasses are 6" plus at most locations so I thought it would be a great test for the F75LTD's "air gap" ability. I found one area at the old school ground about 10 yards wide by 30 yards long that the grass was only 3 or 4 inches high so I gave it a go.
My first target was a 1945 wheat, followed by a 1957 wheat.....then it got interesting. My next two solid repeatable tones turned out to be trash but they were sounding a lot like Indians and I had to dig. My next two targets left little doubt with sweet solid high tones and solid high 70's on the VID.......within 10 feet of each other I found a 1941 and a 1945 Mercury dime. I really think Fisher is on to something with these new machines, I don't think I would have found these with my previous machines considering I was 3-4 inches above the ground. Both dimes were at a solid 5-6" depths.

Thanks for looking! Happy Hunting!

Dave
